Kenneth Robinson, an inmate, Nicholas Zito and Joseph Collins, correction officers (INDICTED, Robinson charged with one count of Aggravated assault upon a peace officer. Zito and Collins charged with one count each of Official misconduct. Collins has also been charged with Assault in the 3rd degree, Falsifying business records in the 1st and 2nd degrees and Offering a false instrument for filing in the 1st degree. The charges stem from disabling a surveillance system at Rikers Island during a fight on October 5, 2005.

Reyes, a predicate felony offender, is facing a maximum term of fifteen years to life imprisonment. Co-defendants Luis Pinales, 22, and Rafael Quezada, 24, are currently awaiting trial. Each defendant has been charged with one count of Murder in the 2nd degree, and Manslaughter in the 1st degree).

Smith was indicted on one count of Manslaughter in the 2nd degree, one count of Criminal negligent homicide and one count of Endangering the welfare of a child.
It is alleged that 4 year old, Quachaun Brown died as a result of several beatings that occurred between January 27, 2006 and January 30, 2006.
