BOARD OF EDUCATION SCHOOL AIDE PLEADS GUILTY TO SEXUAL MISCONDUCT
Bronx District Attorney Robert T. Johnson announced today that a 22 year-old Board of Education School Aide has been convicted of sexual misconduct for engaging in a sexual relationship with a fifteen year-old student.
Jessie Lozada, of 1230 Webster Avenue, appeared before Acting State Supreme Court Justice John N. Byrne and pled guilty to one count of Sexual misconduct, a class "A" misdemeanor offense.
Under the terms of the plea agreement Lozada will receive a term of six years probation. The defendant must also voluntarily provide a DNA sample, register as a sex offender for a period of ten years, and waive his right to appeal. Sentencing is set for Tuesday, January 10, 2006 in Part A.
Lozada had sexual intercourse with the victim on four separate occasions this year inside Jane Adams High School.
This case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Roger Canaff of the Child Abuse / Sex Crimes Bureau.
