BRONX DISTRICT ATTORNEY ANNOUNCES NEW APPOINTEES

Bronx District Attorney Robert T. Johnson announced today the hiring of forty-five new Assistant District Attorneys. Forty-three of the new ADAs are recent law school graduates, and two, Roger Canaff and Joshua Gradinger, are experienced attorneys.

ADA Canaff was a senior attorney at the National Center for the Prosecution of Child Abuse, American Prosecution Research Institute, Alexandria, Virginia. Prior to that, Canaff served for six and a half years as an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney at the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney in Alexandria, Virginia. ADA Gradinger was a prosecutor for six years at the Miami-Dade County, State Attorney’s Office in Florida.

The new ADAs began a three-week training program under the supervision of Assistant District Attorney Cari E. Ferreiro, Director of Litigation Training, on Tuesday, September 6, 2005. The intensive program combines courtroom observation with lectures in criminal court practice.
