BRONX MAN IS SENTENCED TO A TERM OF LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE FOR THE SHOOTING DEATHS OF NEIGHBORS
Bronx District Attorney Robert T. Johnson announced today that Acting State Supreme Court Justice Martin Marcus, has sentenced Corey Gamble, 29, to a term of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole for the deaths Gloria Watson, 53, and Ricky Younger, 44, and a term of 25 years to life for the death of Eunice Younger, 75.
Gamble, of 1995 Birchall Avenue, was convicted last month on charges of two counts of Murder in the 1st degree, and one count of Murder in the 2nd degree.
The murders occurred on Saturday, March 15, 2003 shortly after four o'clock in the afternoon. All three victims, who had lived in the apartment above the defendant's residence, were pronounced dead as a result of gunshot wounds to the head.
The fatal shootings were the culmination of a long running dispute between Gamble and the deceased over noise.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant District attorney Daniel McCarthy, Chief Trial Counsel and Director of Trial Training, and Assistant District Attorney Danielle Pascale.
